The Chase

The Chase is a Fairfield County, CT based band that offers a unique take on the finest rock, folk and country music of our generation.

The band also performs original music with vocals and harmony a key feature. Their set list includes songs from Dave Matthews, Alanis Morrisette, The Police, Paul Simon, and Fleetwood Mac. Listeners will appreciate cover songs not frequently played, but loved. The combination of high-energy and meticulous attention to detail, ensures the audience will enjoy a great day of music, both familiar and new. They are experienced performers who have worked together in a number of different musical settings.

Singer-songwriter and Connecticut native Ryan Weber brings his rich tenor vocals and brisk guitar rhythms. Writing and performing for 20 years with two self-produced albums, his music is upbeat yet sincere and incisive, having rock and pop influences ranging from Billy Joel to Dave Matthews Band. He sings lead and backup vocals and plays acoustic and bass guitar.

Kerri Anne Byrnes has been singing and writing songs since her early teens. Originally her focus was on Broadway musicals and ‘90s pop songs, but after several years of living down in Texas and Georgia, country music stole her heart as well. A gifted vocalist, Kerri Anne can draw you in with the smooth tones of a country ballad, the sharp rasp of alternative rock, or the gentle trill of a Disney princess. In the winter of 2023, her other band Equinox released a country-folk album, “One Thing Led to Another,“ comprised of 12 original songs. Currently Kerri Anne performs with The Chase and Equinox at various venues in Connecticut.

Rob Stagno is a versatile guitarist, having played everything from gypsy jazz to the Beatles for over 20 years. He has played in rock bands in both New York and Seattle. Rob plays electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin and adds both lead and background vocals.

Dave Wonsey  Drummer/Percussionist Dave Wonsey, recently retired Music Educator, taught adjunct for the past 28 years at Marymount College, Fordham University, Norwalk College, Wooster School, & Kent School. Again for 28 years, he also held the positions of Principal timpanist & percussionist with Ridgefield. He is a World Champion Bagpipe band style Snare Drummer, and accomplished Jazz & Rock drum set player.

Kevin Bailie is a piano / keyboard player and has played for many cover bands dating back to the late 80s. He will also lend his voice as a lead or backup vocalist. Kevin is an avid Billy Joel fan and enjoys many types of music but mostly classic rock from the 70s and 80s.
