What does the JCC in Sherman do?
The JCC in Sherman is a gathering place for all members of the Sherman community and those from the surrounding area. Our programs are social, educational, and cultural in nature
Do I have to be Jewish to become a member?
No, you do not have to be Jewish to become a member. The JCC in Sherman serves all members of our community irrespective of age, race, religion, or gender.
How do I join?

Do I have to be a member to participate in programs?
While membership is NOT required to participate in programs and events, members receive discounted admission and registration for workshops, events, concerts, lectures and programs, as well as invitations to special member events, discounted rental rates and the opportunity to support the community. As a predominantly volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization, we depend on the generosity of our members, donors, and supporters to maintain our facility and programs.
How long does my membership last?
JCCS membership runs on a calendar year from January to December.
Do you hold religious services at the JCC in Sherman?
The JCC in Sherman is not a religious organization and does not hold services in our facility. Our organization was founded on the Jewish values of kindness, community service, inclusiveness and helping our neighbors. We do provide some programs that emphasize Jewish heritage and topics of interest.

What types of payment do you accept?

Do you rent the facility?
